About Lauren

Lauren Nalty is an artist and art educator based in North Alabama, where she lives with her husband and three children. Since 2009, she has balanced her dual passions for creating and teaching, working professionally as both an artist and educator.

Working primarily in acrylics and mixed media, Lauren’s art is inspired by emotion and the rhythms of everyday life. Through gestural lines, drips, and vibrant colors, she explores themes of nostalgia and memory.

In addition to her studio practice, Lauren shares her experience with fellow educators through The Art Teacher Mentor podcast and by creating art resources designed to support teachers in their classrooms.

Her artwork has been featured in galleries and fine art festivals across the Southeast, reflecting a style that is both expressive and deeply personal.
